Mick's Picks The Dogs Where We Race Trials & Advanced Cards Owners Corner Links
Michael Peterson
Michael Peterson is a hugely ambitious Greyhound Trainer attached to Oxford. Initially attached to the now closed Milton Keynes, Mick has been involved in greyhounds all his life. His parents have been involved in greyhound racing for over 40 years. He already has a wealth of experience in the art of training and joined Oxford in 2006. Mick has aspirations to be one of the top six Trainers in the country but is realistic enough to realise that an awful lot of hard work and commitment is needed to even get close to realising his dreams. Gareth Parry-Jones
Gareth (pictured with Gogetemkate) has been with the team for a number of years and is a very good and loyal friend of the Peterson family. He's always given 100% and is another incredibly hard-working and reliable member of staff. He's well liked by everyone - it's just a shame he supports Man United!
Mandy Freeman
Mandy is a very hard working women who gives her best at anything she does, she's one of the first in and one of the last too leave and to be honest, it has been a blessing having her working in the kennels. Mandy a few years ago suffered a horrific motorbike accident colliding with a lorry. Many people didn't think she would walk again. After recovering from her accident she was diagnosed with breast cancer and has just been given the all clear. Mandy has a drive and determination I've never seen before and the dedication she shows is fantastic. Even though Mandy hasn't been with us a long time she's been a breath of fresh air to us all at the kennels. I would also like to thank Mandy for her hard work - it is deeply appreciated.

Sabrina Allen
Also known as Abi, my darling fiancee has backed me through thick and thin. Some people may say that to work with your partner can be hard work itself, but you also need people you can trust and rely on. Whenever I'm Open racing or trialling elsewhere, Abi runs the show and we both have the desire to succeed. She has been out of greyhound racing for some time but worked with me for 3 years before having a break. I'm really pleased to have her in the kennels because she is a truly hard worker.

Katrine Storm
Also known as Storm, she has come to England from Denmark to work for six months. She loves the dogs to bits. Storm used to work for a good friend of mine Thommy Zimbrantsen. She was amazed with the difference in England compared to Denmark as greyhound racing is a amateur sport in her homeland.

John Peterson Snr
My father has a wealth of experience working with racing greyhounds and trained many Open race winners, competition winners and track record holders. Dad comes in to carry out the treatments on the dogs. Even just by ultra-sounding and lasering dogs its a big help. We have our moments but deep down when we have a disagreement I know he's right. Some of the dogs Dad used to train were Bad Decision, Cregagh Prince, Springfield Lisa and Future King.
